Father's Day 2010

Today is father's day, a day to celebrate all the wonderful and important men in our life. I have many. My grandfather is still with us and a blessing, he has always been a prayer warrior and an amazing source of faith. I love him very much.

My Father in law has always been wonderful to us. He, along with my wonderful mother in law, made my Wayne the amazing father he is today. I am grateful for his kindness to us and especially his soft spot for our Millie. She loves to argue with him and looks forward to him picking and messing with her.
My little brother, I know he isn't a father but he is an uncle and that role is very important. He is wonderful to Millie and makes sure to spend time with her. That is the greatest gift he could give.
My Daddy, well this one is hard for me. You see I love my Daddy so much it is hard for me to talk about it. It is one of those relationships that is so raw, so special I can't explain. Just know that in my list of people my Daddy is way way up there and I don't know what I would do without him.

That leads me to my husband. For a long time we ached for a child, when I was so devastated about missing out, it wasn't so much for me that I cried but for Wayne. I knew he was meant to be a Daddy and I hated more than anything that I was causing him to miss out. When Millie was born I was able to see that amazing skill he possesses in action. He is patient, kind, insightful, loving and most of all he sees the importance of this job he has. He knows that he is shaping a little person. Everyday I share in the marvel that is our little life, and everyday I look at Wayne and I know that he is the one person in the world that understands this love. He is my other half.
Happy Father's Day to ALL My Amazing Men!

Millie and Maggie

Millie got to meet a cousin today she didn't know she had. She met her cousin Maggie. Maggie is the daughter of my cousin Brittani. Brittani and I have been keeping in touch via facebook but b/c they live in Indiana we haven't seen each other since the birth of Millie. As a matter of fact the last time was when Brittani came to the hospital the day after Millie was born. So recently sent me a msg that they were coming down to Bowling Green and we made plans for the girls to meet at the park. They had a really good time and even yelled at some older kids together :) We hope to see them again in July when they come back to Bowling Green.

Rainy Days and Monday Always Get Me Down

What is with the rain??? I mean WOW, I am thinking of building an ark if anyone wants in on the deal. The flooding and devastation recently have sickened me, especially my beloved Nashville. I love the Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall. It is the perfect place for us to get away but still come home in the same night. We made Millie's first trip there last Christmas and she loved it. All the lights, she was amazed. All the information I have been hearing on the facebook page it looks like the hotel will be open by this Christmas but the mall is still questionable. I hoped to make our trip to the hotel an annual tradition so I am keeping me fingers crossed, and keeping all those poor people in my prayers. In the meantime enjoy the pictures from our last trip.
